Kathy ‘Mum’ Mellor was a beloved member of the Williamstown Badgers Triathlon Club and will always be remembered for her spirit, smile, and sense of determination. Having taken up the sport of triathlon in her sixties, Mum showed us all…where there’s a will, there’s a way! She had a never quit attitude and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Following the first ‘Mum’orial Swim/Run Classic we created a Scholarship fund in Mum’s name to be awarded to a Williamstown High School senior with a love for photography, another one of Mum’s other passions. We will be adding to the scholarship fund this year also.
Two race options are available, Sprint (0.25 mile swim and 5K run) or Olympic (0.75 mile swim and 10K run). The swim takes place in a clean, spring-fed lake in the heart of Williamstown, NJ. The run will take place on the property of Autumn Lake Winery and will take you through trails (hard packed dirt, some grass, sand, and loose dirt) around two lakes and through the vineyard.

- Individual or Relay Sprint – 0.25 mile swim, 5K trail run
- Individual or Relay Olympic– 0.75 mile swim, 10K trail run
Awards (subject to change based on number of registrants):
- Top 3 male and female overall individual winners, Sprint and Olympic
- Top overall relay team winners, Sprint and Olympic
- Top 3 Clydesdale and Athena overall winners, Sprint and Olympic
- Top 3 male and female individual winners in 5 year age groups, Sprint and Olympic

- 6:15am – Transition Opens
- 6:15am – 7:30am – Check-in/Packet Pick-up
- 7:40am – Transition Closes
- 7:45am – Pre-Race Meeting
- 7:55am – National Anthem
- 8:00am – Race Starts for Sprint Race
- 8:15am – Race Starts for Olympic Race
- 9:15am – Sprint Awards
- 9:45am – Olympic Awards
Additional Race Information:
- USAT Sanctioned Event.
- RACE HELD RAIN OR SHINE.
- Race field limited so sign up early!
- ‘Mum’orial race shirts included with your entry.
- Refreshments will be provided at the end of the race.
- Results will be available online.
- Race director has the right to alter or cancel the event for any reason.
- Water temperature is expected to be approximately 80 degrees F. Wetsuit rules in accordance with USAT requirements will be enforced. Water temperature will be taken race morning.

Scholarship Fund:

You will have the option to make an additional donation to Mum’s Scholarship Fund as you go through the registration process.
Volunteers:

- Races like this cannot be successful without volunteers.
- We will need volunteers for packet pick-up, transition, run course marshals, water station, and finish line.

Refund Policy: An optional registration fee reimbursement plan is offered at the time of registration. In the event you cannot participate, there will be no refunds UNLESS you have purchased the optional registration fee reimbursement plan AND are in compliance with the associated terms and conditions of the plan.
Deferral Policy: Deferrals will not be allowed for any reason.
Transfer policy:
Transfer of race type:
- Athletes may transfer from one race type to another, i.e. from Individual Sprint to Individual Olympic, etc.
- All race type transfer requests must be completed in the online registration system prior to 14 days before the race date.
- If an athlete is transferring from a higher priced race type to a lower priced race type, the athlete will not be refunded the difference.
- If an athlete is transferring from a lower priced race type to a higher priced race type, the athlete will be required to pay the difference plus a processing fee.
- Once a transfer of race type has been completed, the option to transfer is no longer available.

Transfer entry to another athlete:
- There will be a $25 transfer fee.
- All athlete transfer requests must be received via email prior to 14 days before the race date.
- If the athlete transfer request includes a change in the race type, i.e. transfer from an athlete registered for individual Sprint to another athlete for individual Olympic, the conditions of the Transfer of Race Type policy also apply.
- If a one-day USAT license was purchased along with the original entry by the original athlete, it cannot be transferred to the new athlete. The new athlete will need to have an annual USAT membership or purchase their own one-day license AND agree to the USAT waiver and other waivers in order to participate.
- Once an athlete transfer has been completed, the option to transfer is no longer available.
